The Saudi culture welcomed flowers since long time ago, but unfortunately its climate has not. The hot climate of the Kingdom is a real challenge for the flower business and it is the reason there are only few shops operating. The core strategy of the team is to operate via an effective supply chain that guarantees fresh flowers delivery four seasons of the year.

Buying flowers for birthday parties, healthcare, weddings and other occasions, is a frequent need.

Needs:

Rose Bouquet:

-The business operates through a network of suppliers, storage and sales network.

-It’s going to be a small size shop that sells flowers of set and costumed decorations to the customers.

-Flower buyers need a fresh delivered timely and for reasonable prices.

The sales network structure composes of three components:

• Walk-in / Online sales

• Temporary stands

• Located stands

The cycle to give someone flowers:

OPERATIONS:

We will have a customer service department consisted of:

1. A representative taking care of purchasing, orders, and managing deliveries

2. A designer

3. A driver.

• We will be using our own delivery for local orders and FedEx for other national orders. This combination will allows us to save more while having professional delivery as well.

PURCHASING AND DESIGN:

• Customer service department will be responsible of purchasing flowers from retail florists in person or via the telephone daily to insure the freshness of the flowers.

• A Floral designer creates arrangements using flowers, floral products, and/or plants for events, such as weddings, holidays, funerals, birthdays, and others.

• The Designer may confer directly with the customer regarding price and type of arrangement, or the designer follows information from an order form.

PACKAGING:

• When packaging a shipments, some of these guidelines can be followed:

• Protect flowers and plants from temperature extremes that may occur during shipment or after delivery

• To prevent leaks and spills, ship vases or containers without water and cover soil in pots and plant containers.

• Place your shipping label on the top of the box to increase the chance of shipment in the preferred orientation.

• Make sure your shipments comply with any applicable government laws governing shipment of flowers and plants.

DELIVERY:

• Costumer service department will be responsible for delivery. Delivery is an essential part of the operation in a floral boutique:

• It will be a link between the designer and the customer

• Taking care of delivery schedules

• The delivery person should be:

• Good at maintaining the vehicle and loading items

• Timely and safe, neat in appearance, and courteous

• Able to secure items in the vehicle:

• Use sandbags, bricks, boxes, and plastic carriers

• Place tall items on the side and shorter ones in the middle will help in effective loading
