Kleeja may be considered the national cookie of Saudi Arabia . Kleeja come in several traditional shapes and fillings. The most popular are the ones filled with dates. It is a handmade cookies that comes in different shapes and fillings. The most popular ones are filling with dates. It becomes very known in the middle east because it is filling with high quality type of dates which are highly demanded by Arabic and foreign people.
The ingredients that you may need to make:
4 cups of (wheat) flour
1 cup of (white) flour
1 spoon of salt
1/2 cup of sugar
1 egg
1/2 of olive oil
1 spoon of a powder cardamom
1 cup of sugar
1/2 spoon of cinnamon
1/2 spoon of ginger
3 spoon of black lemon (powder)
3 spoon of honey
